Over 12.000 Norwegian students go abroad to study every year. Find out where and what they are studying.
Totally 12 956 Norwegians studied abroad in 2009/2010. Especially the medical education is popular amongst Norwegian students. More than 30% of Norwegian physicians have graduated from medical schools outside Norway, and the number of Norwegian students that attend medical schools abroad is increasing, particularly in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
Also popular with Norwegian students are the following subjects:
- Business administration
- Engineering and technology
- Social sciences
- Fine arts
- Media studies and journalism
The most popular countries for Norwegian students are UK, Denmark; Sweden, Australia, USA and Poland.
